Twitter Marketing for Political Party in Egypt

For a political party (or even presidential candidate) in Egypt, we had talked about both email marketing and YouTube marketing. It is now time for Twitter.
Both Twitter & Facebook are timely carrying news faster than even online news portals. Hence, political parties should utilize them fully as part of their digital marketing strategies.
Twitter marketing is key investment for political parties. An American consulting company here is providing useful hints including political candidates to send direct messages DM to their supporters.

Both the party itself and key members are recommended to register for Twitter account (verified accounts are available only via key reference). However, members would indicate clearly within profile that their opinions are their own and do not represent the party.
The political party can spread the word by tweeting its public conferences, key events, or donation campaigns using proper hash-tags. Also, professional interaction with other Twitter accounts is required.

One of Twitter marketing activities is searching related keywords to interact with relative tweets
Political parties would instead search for its name or their key parliament members for example
As internet marketing & social media consulting company, we usually search for social media & eMarketing related terms

Of course, the political party should spread the word broadcasting its public conferences, key events, donation campaigns, etc. Also, interaction with other Twitter accounts is required professionally. Twitter is one of famous social media marketing tools, but it is essential to integrate all of them with both online and offline marketing activities. The political party (and any company or organization) should add social media accounts' URLs to its website, email signature of employees, newsletters, printed materials, etc. Also, publicizing social media accounts via TV, radio or even within speeches of members of political party - is must.

Unlike Facebook advertising, Twitter advertising requires comparatively large budget since Twitter allows both promoted tweets and trends for only small selection of advertisers using justification of Beta version.

Only promoted accounts are available for advertisers including - theoretically- the political parties
